Hello Jake

Thanks for the quotation. If we were to go ahead with the installation we would want to make some changes to the specification. We also have some queries. Please could you pass these on to the team?

  1. We would want an extra radiator in the lounge, and so would want different replacement radiators. The proposed radiators are:
  2.  According to my calculations this would produce roughly the same total output, but with most of the output coming from the vertical radiators. These would be situated in the wider part of the lounge (where the stairwell is). The horizontal radiator would be situated in the narrower dining area of the lounge, where it would not be appropriate to have a high heat output. We would want Reina radiators instead of Stelrad since we prefer the appearance.
  3. We would also want an extra radiator in the "Dining Room" (which I take to be the ground floor back room). The proposed radiators here are:
  4. We could install the pipework to supply the extra radiators.
  5. Our airing cupboard has a sloping ceiling, so a standard vertical 150l unvented indirect cylinder would probably not fit. I suggest using a Telford Tempest Horizontal Stainless Steel Indirect 150L TSMI150H, which would fit without needing major modifications to the airing cupboard.
  6. Could you supply the extra radiators and hot water cylinder? My understanding is that if we supplied them we would have to pay VAT, whereas they would be zero rated if you supplied them (and we can't get trade prices). Possible suppliers for the Reina radiators are PlumbNation, Budget Radiators or fountain direct, and possible suppliers for the horizontal cylinder are Discount Heating or PlumbNation.
  7. Would you want to install a buffer tank? If so, how big would it be and where would install it?
  8. What other major components (e.g. control box EKCB07CAV3, remote user interface EKRUCBL, room thermostat EKRTWA, ...) would you be installing and where would you locate them?
  9. Connor, the surveyor, told us that you would probably remove the old gas boiler and take it away. Can you confirm that you would do this?
  10. Can you also confirm that you would be taking away and recycling the removed radiators and hot water cylinder?
  11. The quotation states that we would be responsible for the "Upgrade of the incoming fuse by your District Network Operator from 60amp to 100amp fuse". Our main fuse is labelled as 100A, so I assume that no upgrade would be required.
Best regards
